In Russia, while it was easy to pre-order the Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! Switch console bundle, the Let’s Go, Eevee! version was made much harder to get. Many retailers either didn’t open pre-orders for the Eevee bundle or only made limited quantities available.
-
The situation applied not only to the game itself, but also to bundles that included the Poké Ball Plus accessory.

Why It Happened
-
One major factor was a decision by Nintendo Russia’s product manager. He reportedly believed that the Russian audience mostly recognize Pikachu and not much beyond that. Based on that belief, fewer stocks of the Eevee version were ordered.
-
This mis-prediction led to Eevee being under-supplied in physical bundles in Russia. Retailers admitted that they expected lower demand for Eevee.
Consequences & Fan Reaction
-
Because physical copies (especially bundled ones) of Let’s Go, Eevee! were scarce, many fans felt like their choice was taken away—they couldn’t reliably buy the version they wanted. This generated frustration among fans in Russia.
-
Interestingly, contemporaneous digital sales showed that Let’s Go, Eevee! was actually more popular than the Pikachu version among Russian players on the Nintendo eShop. So demand was there, even if supply was not matching it.
